Accuracy grade

Bearing accuracy covers dimensional accuracy and running accuracy. ISO 492 and GB/T 307.3 specify grades 0, 6, 5, 4 and 2 (corresponding to the older G, E, D, C, B grades); the higher the grade, the higher the accuracy.

Failure form and legend of rolling bearing

Peel off: when a bearing rotates under load, repeated stress cycles fatigue the material of the inner/outer ring raceways or rolling elements, producing fish-scale damage.

Change color: due to temperature rise and reaction with lubricant, the ring, rolling element and cage change color. Common reasons: poor lubrication, reaction with lubricant, temperature rise.
